Easy Ways to Make Your Guest List

The best way to start a guest list for any family function or party is to first start with your Christmas card address list or to check out you address book. If for whatever reason you do not have any list then start with making a list of all your family members, friends, and people you know from work, clubs, church, or any other organization. If you happen to be planning a graduation party or birthday party for your children then they should have some input also. Keep a close eye on your list because it will be of some use another day too.

When you have you entire list made then you are ready to make the invitations. You may announce the gathering to your guests with an announcement or you may do so with invitations. If it is a graduation, many schools will limit the amount of people your child can invite, if it is a baby shower or a birthday party then limit yourself to the closest family members and friends. By doing this it will make it a lot easier as there will be less people there then on your entire guest list.

There are many ways to have an announcement or an invitation. You can have this professionally made up. Also they are available at your local party supply store. Any handmade invitation is a piece of art and they are begging to be all the rage these days, also more and more people are turning to email to send their invites. Even you may print them right form you own printer at home. However you do it don’t stress yourself, the day you are planning will be more enjoyable that way.

Make sure that any invitations that need to be sent in the mail should be sent out three weeks ahead of time. If you look on the Internet you will find many great ideas on how you could word your invitations.
